A rebuilt Shopify store for a North Wales farm selling miscanthus animal bedding, moved onto a leaner Shopify plan with no page builder.

About the business

• A working farm on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales
• Sells miscanthus animal bedding and cat litter pellets online
• Delivers by the bale or the pallet, locally and across the UK
• Bedding for horses, poultry, cattle, sheep and small pets

The challenge

The old store needed a full redesign. It ran on a bigger Shopify plan than the business needed, relied on a page builder, and wasn't set up for SEO, ads or tracking. The farm also wanted to reach more horse owners and people who buy wood-shavings bedding.

The work

Rebuilt the store with custom Liquid sections, so it no longer needs a page builder and runs on a smaller Shopify plan, cutting its monthly running costs. A conversion review shaped the layout: visitors get straight to the products, and each product page makes it simple to buy once or subscribe.
